ABOUT

Rue Grewal is an artist based in Toronto, Canada. Working primarily with oil paint, her practice explores presence, belonging, and landscapes that allow for self reflection. Through immersive environments like flowing water, skies, and other living ecosystems, her work reflects on memory and the human tendency to seek home within moments of stillness.

A self-taught artist, she is guided by curiosity and a deep attentiveness to natural rhythms, using the language of landscape as a metaphor for inner experience. Her paintings invite contemplation, child-like wonder, and an awareness of time often touching on themes of transformation and our relationship with the natural world. Her work is held in private collections internationally and continues to evolve through exhibitions, collaborations, and ongoing studio practice.
