Series: Interconnected

Ritualistic, Blurred-Scape, Topographic

“This series consists of three paintings called Ritualistic, Blurred-Scape, and Topographic. These artwork are a foundation of the concept of interconnection. The way in which life connects in multiple conditions; state of mind, physical state, state of heart, and state of spirit.”

  • Ritualistic

    The rhythm of movement.

About Ritualistic: “This is an image I’ve seen over and over in my everyday life that I not only have a physical documentation of the scene, but it is also engraved in my head. The title of this piece comes from rhythm of movement, more concretely a combination of the rhythm of my footsteps and the rhythm of the changing seasons.”

  • Blurred-Scape

Lost in the state of being.

About Blurred-Scape: “Like many of my pieces, I had a very clear vision of the feeling I wanted this painting to depict. However, having never worked on a black surface it was quite a surprise how well even the lightest brushstrokes fade into the darkness of the canvas. This made it much easier to create the serene landscape with a foreground layer, allowing the paint to flow with gravity.”

  • Acrylic painting

    Topographic

Exploring elevation & expansion of self-sustaining land.

About Topographic: “A quick geographic of the land we live on: This painting is an imitation of the topographic map of Ontario, exploring the physical element. Some of the most highlighted parts of this painting represent the parts of Ontario that have the highest elevation and are not disturbed by human influence.”
